Kickstarter Groove of the Day/Leann Rimes/”Can’t Fight the Moonlight”

Well, here we are, kids, another fab Philly Mixtape week is coming to a close, as well as our kickstarter ode to the country divas. However, not to worry because we’ve got a fab Friday finale lined up, including a very “Boombastic” ‘Forgot About Friday,’ your final slice of ‘5 Reason Why’ music truth, and not one, but two more country gals ready to go for you guys as you get ready for the weekend…

So, let’s talk about Ms. Leann Rimes for a music moment. Long before she stole Brandi’s Glanville’s man, Eddie Cibrian, Ms. Rimes was quite a force to be reckoned with in the industry. At the young age of 13, she topped the country charts with her rewire of the classic ’58 Bill Mack country groove, “Blue,” which would became a monster hit, leading her to the chart bulldozer that was “How Do I Live,” which would only further put Leann on the music map. During the ’90s country diva crossover madness, Leann made her “acting” debut in ‘Coyote Ugly,’ also contributing a haystack of songs to its accompanying soundtrack, including “But Do I Love You,” “The Right Kind of Wrong,” and most notably, “Can’t Fight The Moonlight,” which went on to become a chart stealing smash. While the original version of Leann’s classic ’00 country tune is oh, so dreamy, it’s spiced up radio mix is extra hot, and if you’ll remember it was stealing radio’s man back in the ‘Forgot About Friday’ day. If you guys haven’t got lost in Leann’s fun, twangy groove lately, now’s your chance as Philly Mixtape has it locked and loaded for you guys below.

Also, since you guys have been sooooo good all week, we’ve also got the roaring Thunderpuss rework ready to go, too! And now, we dance……..go.
