1.Demi Lovato dedicates a song to Bruce Jenner during her concert…
As we all know, this past Friday night ABC aired the highly anticipated Bruce Jenner interview on 20/20 to huge ratings, as well as big support from people all over the world, including Ms. Demi Lovato, who dedicated her track “Warrior” to Ms. Jenner. At her show in New Zealand this past weekend, Ms. Lovato was the latest pop starlet to show some love and voice her support by dedicating her track “Warrior” to him. Calling Jenner “an American hero,” she also went on to say, “I just want to dedicate this song and it’s so cheesy that I’m even doing this, but f — it whatever. I want to dedicate it to someone who became an even bigger hero last night–Bruce Jenner! By the way, I never thought I’d ever dedicate a song to him. But he was honest and he was open with his story. No matter if you agree with it or not, he probably saved so many lives and educated so many people [about] transitioning into being a woman and being transgender and what’s that’s all about. So, yeah, I just want to dedicate it to Bruce Jenner.” Work, Demi. Check out the performance below.
2.Billboard has this fun article about THOSE album tracks that should’ve been released as singles….
Ever get an album and fall in love with one or two tracks that you think could be monster radio hits….and they never see the light of day? Well, Billboard has just come up with “15 Recent Pop Songs That Weren’t Released As Singles (But Should Have Been),” and on this list they get down with Katy Perry’s ‘Prism’ cut, “Double Rainbow,” “Manicure” off of Lady Gaga’s ‘Artpop’ album and also “#Getitright,” off of Miley’s studio set, “Bangerz.” But, if there’s one track that stands above the rest it’s “Drop Dead (Beautiful),” off of Britney’s ’11 set, ‘Femme Fatale.’ While the three singles released, “Hold it Against Me,” “‘Til The World Ends” and “I Wanna Go,” were prime for the radio pickin,’ it was fourth single, “Criminal,” that fell flat and should’ve absolutely been replaced with this banger, which also features a spicy guest spot by UK rap diva, Sabi. To check out ALL the tracks Billboard hand picked, check this out.
3.Adam Lambert spills all kinds of music tea in Glamour magazine….
In a recent music tea spillage with Glamour magazine, “Ghost Town” singer and ‘American Idol’ survivor Adam Lambert spilled on it all, including dishing on how he’s hung out with some of Hollywood’s “closeted gay men.” “I’ve been with a few of them. Whether it’s music or acting, you’ve got to remember that those industries are primarily run by men, so maybe it’s about that,” he told the mag, “But with women being the primary movie-goers and record-buyers, surely it shouldn’t matter so much?” About the women in his life, he went on to say, “I think women are beautiful – and I always notice when girls smell really good. Like most gay men, I’m drawn to really confident women. I have slept with a woman before,” he said, “I did it for the first time when I was 29. It was a random thing but I was very curious. It felt great,” he added. You go, girl!
4.When it came to Drake attending the Wizards/Raptures game this past weekend…..the shade was certainly real….
Toronto Raptors global ambassador/fan Drake dealt with plenty of shade when he attended the playoffs for his favorite team when they took on the Wizards this past Friday night. When the rapper made an appearance to support his beloved team, Wizards fans were not quite thrilled to see Drake there, shouting out a ton of “boos” his way as he made his grand entrance. Ever the gentlemen, Drake met the crowds jeering in the simplest way he knew how-by taking a bow, of course.
However, it wasn’t just the crowd throwing shade Drake’s way, fellow rapper Wale also spewed venom after the Raptors lost the game, posting a photo of himself with the caption “If u readin this you’ve been swept @champagnepapi.” The @champagnepapi refers to Mr. Drake’s twitter handle. Maybe Drake should never attend a basketball game….ever again. The music shade is certainly real on this fine Monday, kids.
5. Listen to Mariah’s new single, “Infinity”…….
