1.Mariah makes her grand diva entrance for her upcoming Las Vegas residency…

To sum all of THIS up, let’s just say Ms. Mariah wanted Las Vegas to know there’s a new bitch in town. The eardrum shattering chanteuse arrived to cheering screams at Caesars Palace Monday night in a classic 1936 pink convertible trailing behind 18 mobile billboards bearing the titles of her No. 1 hits including, “Always be My Baby,” “Heartbreaker,” “Vision of Love” and “Someday.” The hulking gladiator-clad men took it from there, carrying Carey through the casino on a platform fit for….Mariah Carey.  The grand entrance marked her Las Vegas Strip arrival that will bring her chart-topping hits to The Colosseum at Caesars Palace starting May 6 with performances through July. 2.Kelly Clarkson notches fifth consecutive dance hit with ‘Heartbeat Song’…

You better werk that dance floor of life, Ms. Kelly! The ‘American Idol’ diva better put her dancing shoes on because her ‘Piece by Piece’ lead single, ‘Heartbeat Song,’ has just taken the crown at the top of the Billboard dance charts. It should also be noted that ‘Heartbeat’ has Ms. Clarkson scoring her fifth consecutive Dance Club Songs #1, as previous hits, “Stronger (What Doesn’t Kill You), “Dark Side,” “Catch My Breath” and “People Like Us” have all cut a rug in the top spot. On that crowning disco achievement, let’s all werk it out to this killer JRMX remix of ‘Heartbeat Song” for all of music eternity…

 

3.Nas set to release first album in three years…

Get ready, iconic rapper and Kelis’ baby daddy, Nas, is set to release his first new album in 3 years.  The veteran rapper announced the news at a how in Orlando, Florida over the weekend where he told fans, “2015, new album this summer,” Uproxx reports. The upcoming set will be the follow-up to 2012’s ‘Life Is Good’, which peaked at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 album chart.  Mr. Nas has also kept very busy since his last studio effort, being featured in  documentary, ‘Nas: Time Is Illmatic,’ which was released last year to coincide with the 20th anniversary of his celebrated debut LP, ‘Illmatic.’ The rap legend also launched his Mass Appeal Records, an independent record label, last year and earlier this year, he found time to perform at the NBA All-Star Game and logged in some studio time with Madonna for her ‘Rebel Heart’ set. 

4.Sam Smith forced to cancel tour dates because of vocal cord hemorrhaging..

In what happens to a lot of great divas, Mr. Sam Smith has been diagnosed with a hemorrhage to his vocal cords, and sadly, the British heartbreaker has been forced to cancel tour dates until he’s good and ready to hit the stage again.  The crooner got the bad news while he was on tour in Australia, where now all his upcoming shows have now been canceled, including a scheduled appearance Sunday night at the TV industry’s annual Logie Awards. “I am deeply, deeply saddened to tell my Australian fans, I have to cancel my Australian tour,” Smith says in a message he shared with his followers on Instagram, “I have been vocally exhausted for a while now however last night in Sydney I had a small hemorrhage on my vocal cords. The doctors have told me I need to fully rest until my vocal chords have healed, otherwise this could become a huge long-term issue. I am so sorry to all who have bought tickets, I truly am. This kills me.” While no tentative dates have been set, according to Australia’s Frontier Touring, it looks like they’re aiming at December with new dates to be added soon. Meanwhile, this DJ Tiesto remix of “Lay Me Down” will absolutely keep those good vibes rollin’ all day…
