1.Did Miley Cyrus’ tweet get Grace and Frankie renewed for a second season?
While there has been a buffet of fans all for the new Jane Fonda/Lily Tomlin Netflix show, Grace & Frankie, perhaps none have been more devoted than Ms. Miley Cyrus. “Let me say, it’s so awesome to do a show on Netflix,” the show’s co-creator Marta Kauffman said in a statement, via Vulture. “Because two and a half weeks after we launched, Miley Cyrus does a tweet about your show, and they call and say, ‘We’d like to do a season two.’ So yes, there is a season two. We have [head of content acquisition for Netflix] Ted [Sarandos] and Miley to thank.
For those that may not know about the streaming series, Grace and Frankie premiered on ‘Flix earlier this month and revolves around two women (Ms. Fonda and Ms. Tomlin) who learn that their husbands (Martin Sheen and Sam Waterston) have fallen for each other and are leaving them to be together. In other words….you may start binge-watching…right now.
