2017 Fringe Arts Festival What happens when you take 1000 red-hot local performance and entertainment artists, divide them over 180 stunning shows with a complete take over of twenty neighborhoods across Philly? You get this year’s already lit 2017 Fringe Arts Festival, which has truly been on-point in serving up an explosive display of some of the finest talent Philly has to offer, including performers ranging from dance, song, theatre, aerial stunts and much, much, much more. While we could easily sit and spill about everything this year’s festival has to offer, it’s always best for you to see it all for yourself, but first dive straight into the official festival website to check it all out. But you better hurry as this year’s festival will be closing on Wednesday, Sept 27th. So, get to Fringin’…because we must support the arts, kids.

A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum You must not walk, but run to the box office at the Walnut Street Theatre to grab those tickets to take in Stephen Sondheim’s classic Tony Award-winning Best Musical, which has been described as “a nonstop laugh-fest in which Pseudolus, a crafty slave, struggles to win the hand of a beautiful, but slow-witted, courtesan named Philia for his young master, Hero, in exchange for freedom. The plot twists and turns with cases of mistaken identity, slamming doors and a bevy of beautiful showgirls. This unforgettable, hysterical musical comedy will have you laughing all the way to the Forum with “something for everyone, a comedy tonight!” All meaning….go. Walnut St. Theatre/tonight-October 22nd/various prices and showtimes

KINK HAÜS You’ve seen the stunning visuals…you’ve read the reviews (Phindle says it’s “a locomotive evening of entertainment you’ll never forget”), but most of all you’ve heard about all of the kink-alicious werk that Philly’s own entertainment mastermind, Mr. Gunnar Montana, and his fine company of local dancers and performance artists are thrusting forth in one of the hottest shows in this year’s Fringe Arts Festival. However, this is your absolute final weekend to catch this one-of-a-kind local entertainment spectacle, so if you want those tickets (seriously, there may only be, like, two left) go right here, right now.
