This past Friday night, those Philly Mixtape vibes were front-and-center for an always deep and delicious set provided by by deep house guru, DJ Sonny Fodera.
And while it’s easy to spill iced summer music tea by the pool about how Mr. Fodera just keeps serving us with the deep heat–meaning and everything off of his latest red-hot offering, Frequently Flying, sometimes we just have to let the fucking music play.
So, while you add every gummy groove from Mr. Fodera’s latest into your bikini-and-stilettos inspired playlists (go here), you must lose yourself in “Caught Up,” a divinely deep standout featuring sexy, stellar vocals from Mizz Yasmeen. In headphones fact, this track is so fucking hot, that the world renowned DJ opened his set with it this past weekend.

Out of the oh, so few enjoyable music moments off of Katy Perry’s 2013 Prism record (sigh…there truly were…take a seat, “Birthday”), one of them is undeniably the ’90s deep house romp that is “Walking on Air.”
Armed with a delicious MTV Party to Go groove laced with CeCe Peniston inspired vocal werk with a tinge of gospel to go along with….it all, you have to wonder why the tantalizing track was never released as an official single.
While we could sit and ponder that notion all day long (also…where’s that new album, boo?), the weather is about to own our late October lives once again and this Kitty Purry groove is all you need to make the day that much more sweeter.
As if that were possible. Now, dance.

Just one of the many sizzling cuts served fresh from their standout debut set, Sirens, “Lover Like You” is a smooth, sexy groove cooked up by UK beat duo Gorgon City, co-starring woke vocals by delectable dance diva, Ms. Katy B.
Now, while we could easily sit and spill deep house tea all damn day about how that beat and those vocals will take you upstairs into the music bedroom and have their delightful wicked ways with you, but since it’s Friday (and the first one of fall as well), we need to just let those grooves bump-and-grind for themselves, which is what you should do right about…now.
