1.This incredible Tracy Chapman performance of ‘Stand By Me’ will move you to tears….

Now that David Letterman is ending his run as the gap-toothed king of late night T.V., reports have surfaced that he’s been very picky about who he lets perform on the almost done show. One of those performers he hand picked himself was the incredibly talented Tracy Chapman, who stopped by to deliver a tear jerking performance of Ben E. King’s 1960 hit, “Stand By Me.” As usual, Ms. Tracy knocks it out of the park, delivering a performance loaded with raw, real music emotion that is a ‘Must Watch’ for your Tuesday. Get the Kleenex ready for this one…

2.Adam Lambert releases a whistlin’-disco -of -a- tune called “Ghost Town”

Apply the guy liner, Adam Lambert has just released a bubbling new song called “Ghost Town.” The disco-meets-whistle-meets-pop tune sways along with lyrics,  “Walk into the flames/Called out your name/But, there was no answer,” with a deep beat to match, Adam’s new tune also fits like into Philly Mixtape’s deep house week like a music glove. Perhaps a Madonna “Ghost Town” mash up can’t be too far behind? Adam’s “Ghost Town” is set to hit radio today, and its accompanying album, ‘The Original High,’ is set to hit headphones on June 16th. Get lost in the spaced out lyric video below…

3.Your added list of Billboard Music Awards performers are….

Kelly Clarkson, Ed Sheeran, Meghan Trainor and John Legend, who have all just been added to the already star-studded performance roster, which includes performances by Wiz Khalifa, Hozier, Nick Jonas and Sam Smith. The 2015 Billboard Music Awards is set to air on ABC on Sunday, May 17 at 8pm and will be held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.  As previously reported, Ludacris is headed back to Billboard’s annual awards ceremony as co-host, and he’ll be joined on stage by supermodel (and Mr. Legend’s wifey) Chrissy Teigen.

Ms. Taylor Swift leads the pack with 14 nominations in 13 categories, though she’s closely followed by Sam Smith (13), Iggy Azalea (12?) and Ms. Trainor with 9. For the full list of finalists go right here.

4.R.I.P Miley Cyrus and Patrick Schwarzenegger…

First Ariana and Big Sean and now Miley and Patrick? What is this world coming to???

5.No Doubt spill music tea on upcoming festival tour….and new album!!

No Doubt diva Gwen Stefani may be (trying to..sigh) rev up her solo career again, but this year will also mark quite a busy one for No Doubt as well. After headlining this past weekend’s Global Citizen Earth Day Festival in Washington, D.C., the ska-licious band is set to play over a half-dozen additional festivals this year, including the New Orleans Jazz Festival, Las Vegas’ Rock In Rio, Napa’s Bottle Rock, Aspen Jazz Snowmass and Del Mar, Calif.’s KAABOO.

However, the festivals are a delayed tour of sorts for No Doubt’s most recent album, 2012’s ‘Push And Shove,’ which didn’t exactly explode on the charts last year, which allegedly had the group postpone the tour in February 2013 so the band could begin work on its next album. While it seems like No Doubt still has some werk to do, their official Facebook statement hypes up their future projects by stating,  “Our goal as a band is to share this new music with you as quickly as possible — both recorded and live on tour.” Hey, if it’s anything like their infectious ’01 hit, “Hey Baby,” Philly Mixtape-and the rest of the music world-will be patiently waiting…
